Did you know one in two Americans will contract an STD/STI at some point in their lives?

Did you also know one in four TEENS contract an STD/STI each year?

Many STDs/STIs have NO symptoms and cannot be detected without testing. The infection will remain in your body if not detected and treated. Not treating an STD/STI can lead to serious health risks, including damage to your joints, heart, and reproductive organs, infertility, and blindness, deafness, and birth defects in infants during pregnancy, just to name a few.

What can YOU do??

  • GYT: Get yourself tested!
  • Demand your partner(s) get tested.
  • Wear a condom correctly, EVERY time.
  • Limit number of partners.
  • Become educated. Check out our website for more information about STDs/STIs and how you can get tested.
  • Schedule an appt. at the Annex to meet with a nurse to talk about STDs/STIs and to get tested. Bring a friend or partner along!
  • Talk with your friends about getting tested. Take away the stigma! It’s a normal part of taking care of your health.
