So, what are my birth control options?
Good news, you’ve got lots! Not-so-good news, lots of options means it can be complicated to figure out what’s best for you. But that’s why you’ve got us to talk to.
Before getting a prescription, we recommend you attend one of our free birth control information sessions to learn about the different methods out there. You can also read through a list of options we provide. This will help you understand how each method works and help you decide which one will be best for you!
Birth control is great, but don’t forget your rain coat
Birth control is great for preventing pregnancy, but the ONLY method that will protect against sexually transmitted infections (STIs) is condoms. It’s important to use condoms with each sexual encounter to protect yourself against infection. Learn more about the many STIs that are lurking out there.
Each of these methods we provide are very effective, but none of them will work the first seven days after you start them because the hormones are building up in your body. Be sure to use condoms or not have sex for the first week after you start a new method!
