Parents are the primary sexuality educators for their children…it’s true! As parents, we often hope our kids are getting accurate sexual health information at school, or in formal settings from other adults. But what they hear and see from their families creates the deepest impressions and can impact their sexual attitudes for a lifetime.

At the Annex, we believe that knowledge is helpful, not harmful. Children of all ages who have accurate, developmentally appropriate information about sex, sexuality, and relationships are much more likely to make healthy decisions. As health educators, we are here to help parents every step of the way!

Coming up on November 10th and 17th, we are hosting our Celebration of Change workshop for girls ages 9-11 and their parent/caregiver. In this meaningful program, we help foster positive communication in families about puberty and all the changes that come with it.

  • Cost: $49 per pair (girl & adult)
  • Where: Plymouth Middle School
  • Who: Anyone interested! Please spread the word
  • Register: Email Chelle Vogel or call her at 763.533.1316

We also offer many programs that can be tailored for your specific need and group:

  • It’s That Easy–Education for parents with children of any age
  • Puberty
  • Birth Control
  • STI prevention
  • …and more!

We’ll be posting dates for Parent Education workshops starting in January 2017 on our website soon. Stay tuned, or contact Chelle to schedule your own!  At the Annex, we’re here to make talking about sexual health with your child(ren) easier and less stressful. Here are some resources to get you started!
