October is Let's Talk Month
Let's Talk Month encourages you to communicate with your child about sexuality.

It’s October again, which means it’s “Let’s Talk Month!” Each year, organizations around the country celebrate this campaign by planning events that foster parent/child communication about sexuality and healthy relationships. In Minnesota, we’re thrilled that once again Governor Mark Dayton has made a declaration about it, drawing attention to the need for more and continued conversations with young people throughout the state.

The Minnesota Department of Health has created their own campaign to encourage people to get involved, called “Make a Date”. When is the last time you made a date to communicate with your child about relationships and sex? Can’t remember? Maybe never? It’s time! In fact…we’ve already created a date for you! Join us on October 27th for our parent/child connectedness workshop. We guarantee that both you and your child(ren) will enjoy it, and your future communication will be easier! Details and registration below—see you there!

You’re invited to join us for “Let’s Talk! Parents and Youth Connect about Sexuality
When: Saturday, October 27th, from 10am-12:30pm
Where: Annex Teen Clinic, 5810 42nd Ave N, Robbinsdale, MN 55422
Who: Parents, caregivers, and the young person or people they care about (ages 10+)

Everyone will come back together for a connecting activity that makes conversations about sexuality much easier going forward!

Hosted by Sexuality and Parent Educators from Annex Teen Clinic, this workshop will help families start out the school year with a positive approach to communication that can continue far into the future. Only 30 spots are available, so sign up now!
