Hi, my name is Shay (they/them)! I come to the Annex with a background in mental health nursing and a passion for empowering people to be active participants in making decisions that impact their health. In my role as a nurse at the Annex, I maintain curiosity about patient goals to provide information that is relevant and desired by each person. I believe that every person should have access to sexual health care that acknowledges and validates their identities, preferences, and choices. The Annex is a wonderfully safe and affirming space for both patients and staff alike and I am thankful to call it my work home. When I’m not at the Annex you might find me nestled with a cup of coffee, on my way to a ballet class, playing with my two pugs, or planning the next adventure with my partner!
