Let’s Talk! Parent/Child Event
October 27 @ 10:00 am - 12:30 pm
October is “Let’s Talk Month”, a time to encourage family communication about sexuality. Join the Annex Teen Clinic for our signature workshop for parents/caregivers and the young people they’re raising.
During this afternoon workshop, parents or other caregivers–and the youth they care about–have a chance to explore how to better communicate with each other. We will start with a meal together, then parents and youth will separate out. Parents will participate in a workshop on raising sexually healthy kids called “It’s That Easy”, and youth will be led in activities and discussions around sexuality, healthy relationships, and ways to improve communication. Everyone will come back together for a connecting activity that makes conversations about sexuality much easier going forward! This workshop is FREE, and includes lunch and all materials. You will also go home with Heather Corinna’s book “All About S.E.X., The All-You-Need-To-Know Guide to Get You Through High School and College”, string and tote bags of swag from the Annex Teen Clinic, and a gift-card raffle will end the day!
Join us, and pass the word on to your family, friends, neighbors, anyone raising teenagers. But HURRY…registration will be capped at 30 people, so save your spot ASAP
