If you’re interested in gaining new skills, giving back to your community, and meeting new people, we’ve got some opportunities for you!
Current opportunities
Health Education Classroom Assistant
Classroom Assistant volunteers are paired with our health educators to observe programs and groups and help with classroom management and activities, as appropriate. (Please note: the majority of programming that we do requires facilitators who have been trained in the curricula we’re delivering. Due to this, classroom assistants are not allowed to lead any activities or deliver any content. You can assist with answering questions about activities and behavior management.)
Annex Ambassadors
You’d be working at the Annex table at different schools, community events, and fairs. You’d learn how to do health outreach and hook young people up with information and resources.
Front Desk Volunteer
Staff the reception desk! Greet clients, answer phones, schedule appointments. Minimum once/week commitment for 6 months.
Practitioner
We utilize volunteer nurse practitioners, physician’s assistants, and medical doctors to work alongside our staff and provide medical care to our clients. We’re currently looking for practitioners with Friday availability in particular.
Board/Committee Member
We’re always looking for candidates with diverse skills and talents to serve on our board of directors or one of its subcommittees. Because we are a small and active Board, the most important qualities of any Board member are a commitment to the Annex’s mission and a willingness to actively engage and support the organization.
Project Crew
Sometimes the Annex has special projects to do, and we’re always on the lookout for people who can work a couple hours in the office to help out.
