You're making a smart decision
Asking for help can be hard. But it's the right thing to do.

Asking for help can be difficult, but you’re doing the right thing by reaching out! Call 763.533.1316 to ask questions or to make your appointment.

NEW! Now you can also schedule your appointment online!

We help young people like you every day with birth control, STI testing and/or treatment, pregnancy testing and all-options counseling, and preventative care. Watch the video below to see what an appointment at the Annex looks like.

The Annex Teen Clinic is your go to resource for sexual healthcare. You know what’s best for your body and we are here to support you. Your visit is 100% confidential.

At the Annex, you will meet kind and caring staff who listen. In this video, you’ll see an example of what an appointment at the Annex is like, and how we can help.

The best way to get an appointment quickly is to schedule an appointment online. That way you can access care faster.

When you arrive for your appointment, the first people who will talk to you are our Patient Service Representatives.

They will ask you a few questions to schedule you with the right medical staff. This information will never be shared with anyone except those providing care. It’s important to be honest, even if the information is personal, because we want to make sure you see the correct person. We are here to help, not to judge.

We might ask if you have any symptoms or if you’d like to test for things like a yeast infection or urinary tract infection (UTI). If you do, it’s important to tell us so we can connect you with the right healthcare professional.

After your appointment is scheduled, you will fill out paperwork. You can do this at home on your phone or computer. You can also come to the Annex 10 minutes early and complete the paperwork before your appointment. Our staff are available to help fill out paperwork if you have questions.

We make getting to the Annex easy and can help pay for a bus or taxi if you can’t afford it.

The Annex can schedule a free taxi ride for those who qualify. Bus tokens are provided when you arrive for return trips and future appointments. We are on bus lines 716, 717, and 764.

Your health is important, and the Annex makes sure you don’t have to worry about how much health care will cost.

You can meet with our Finance Team who will explain the different ways to pay for an appointment. The Annex has special procedures in place, so your visit will always be affordable, and your information will not be shared with anyone without your permission.

Those who qualify can sign up for the Minnesota Family Planning Program at your first appointment, which provides free sexual health services at the Annex, including all birth control and STI testing and treatment. We never turn anyone away if they can’t pay so make sure you come to the Annex if you need sexual healthcare. We will take care of you!

After speaking with someone from our Finance Office, you’ll visit our lab to take vitals and do lab work like providing a urine sample to test for STIs.  We know that going to the doctor for sexual health services can feel scary, and we want your visit to be as comfortable as possible.

Text on screen: Please don’t eat or drink at least 15 minutes before your appointment. Depending on what you need, we might check: blood pressure, height, weight, urine (pee) sample for STIs, or have your finger poked for HIV testing.

After visiting the lab, you’ll meet with trained medical staff to get the care you need. You will talk to a nurse like Nurse Jade in a private room about your health. You can ask us any questions you have.  Your nurse will always listen to you because you know your body best. The Annex can provide medications, birth control, and Emergency Contraception like Plan B. We are here to help.

Once you’re done meeting with the nurse, you can complete a short survey and grab supplies. You can come back to the Annex any time.

We care about you and are here to help you take charge of your sexual health. Call 763.533.1316 or visit us online to schedule an appointment today.
