Find out what it's like to visit
The Annex is a comfortable and safe place. Private parking is available behind the building.

What’s it like to visit?

We know that going to the doctor for sexual health services can feel scary sometimes, and we want your visit to be as comfortable as possible. That’s why we created the Virtual Tour video so you can know what to expect even before you make your appointment. Watch the video, and during your appointment feel free to ask us all the questions you’d like, and please feel free to bring a friend, family member, or partner along for support.

What to expect during your first appointment at the Annex…

You’ll check in with the receptionist and complete a few pieces of intake paperwork on our Phreesia tablets. If you need help figuring out how to pay for your visit you’ll also meet with someone in our finance office.

After that, you will talk to a nurse in a private room about your health. The nurse will answer any questions you have and give you any information or care you need.

Depending on what you need at your visit, you might also:

  • Have your blood pressure, height, and weight measured
  • Give a urine (pee) sample for chlamydia and gonorrhea screenings
  • Have your finger poked for HIV and syphilis testing
  • Get medications such as birth control, or have a prescription sent to your pharmacy

After watching the virtual tour, would you like to ask a question or set up an appointment? Please be in touch.
